Summary:

The Sheet Metal Team member is essential to the production output needed to satisfy ABH Mfg.'s customer base. This role requires excellent communication and mechanical skills. Responsibilities include operating punch presses, polishing, reading print dimensions, and assembling products following clear instructions.

Scope of Area:

• Sheet Metal Department
• CNC Department
• Stainless Steel Pin & Barrel Hinge
• Edge Guard
• Door Switch
• Architectural Pulls
• Machine Shop
• Welding Cell
• Raw Material Inventory
• Finished Goods Inventory – specific to sheet metal product lines
• HURCO – Machine operating

Responsibilities:

• Perform safety audits according to established protocols
• Perform maintenance as per schedule and assist in creating preventive maintenance tasks
• Monitor production metrics daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly
• Communicate effectively with other departments
• Maintain accurate inventory of consumables, chemicals, tooling, PPE, etc.
• Ensure products meet quality control standards

Must Haves:

• Advanced understanding of sheet metal processes and equipment
• Strong material handling skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good interpersonal skills emphasizing patience and emotional intelligence
• Commitment to ongoing education for self and team

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Stand for entire shift
