Job summary

West Star Aviation in Cedar Hill, TX, is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician for a full-time, on-site position. The role emphasizes sheet metal skills, reading blueprints, and adherence to FAA guidelines in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (A&P license optional) and 0–5 years in sheet metal, with a Master level at 5+ years also considered. Benefits start at initiation, including medical, dental and 401K match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license welcome but not required.
• Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes (forming, drilling, stamping, shaping, bending, punching, cutting, riveting, filing and dimpling).
• Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools.
• Perform work in accordance with FAA guidelines and safety rules.
• Coordinate with team and management to meet deadlines.
