Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician for the 2nd shift at DAS Aviation in Cedar Hill, TX. This on-site role focuses on sheet metal work, blueprint reading, and adherence to FAA guidelines to ensure structural integrity of airframes.

You will perform drilling, riveting, sealing, and finish work, while maintaining a safe, efficient workspace and collaborating with team members to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes (forming, drilling, stamping, shaping, bending, punching, cutting, riveting, filing and dimpling)

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Safely operate shop equipment like brakes, presses, riveters, shears and hand tools.
• Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training and maintenance data bases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
