Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Addison, TX is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to contribute to our maintenance and overhaul operations. You will work on turbine aircraft structures, read blueprints, and perform drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will also help supervise crews, organize manpower, and set priorities for projects. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and an Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures.
• Ability to read blueprints and working drawings.
• Familiar with fastening systems, procedures and techniques.
• Willingness to supervise crews and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Use basic computer systems to access training, manuals, and maintenance data.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.
