Job summary

Shaw Industries in Wisconsin is seeking a Shear Operator for the Sunday–Thursday night shift (11pm–7am). You will operate the shear machine, oversee the shearing process to maintain carpet finish quality, and monitor the lint house and accumulators to ensure smooth production.

Position Overview

This position is Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for operating the shear machine.

Essential Duties

• Oversee the shearing process which enhances the carpet's finish
• Monitor the lint house for proper operation
• Monitor all accumulators and carpet guides
• Must fill in as technician as needed

Non-Essential Duties

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, and stooр
• Close vision and good hearing required
• Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
• Must participate in group stretching prior to shift

Must be applicable to all JHA's
