Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Roll Up/Sew On Operator Lift Truck Operator to transport greige goods to the CDR Sew-On area, ensuring continuous production. The role covers a 12-hour, non-rotating day shift from 7am to 7pm and involves operating a lift truck, feeding the production line, and monitoring materials and tickets.

The position is based in Dalton, GA, with Shaw Industries offering a broad benefits package and a focus on safety and efficient operations across its flooring and surface

Responsibilities

• Complete and update production logs and other SQS documentation
• Operate a lift truck to transport buggies, rolls, and leadoff throughout the plant as needed
• Perform pre-shift lift truck inspections
• Operate control panels to feed carpet into the production line
• Use a computer and scanner to track materials and production data
• Match production tickets to the schedule
• Inspect empty buggies for missing or damaged felt liners
• Assist the Sew-On Operator with various tasks
• Use a sewing machine as required
• Safely use hand tools, including a utility knife
