Job summary

allnex is seeking a Safety, Health and Environmental Specialist to join our site in East St Louis, IL. The role focuses on maintaining high standards in safety, health, and environmental performance and supporting regulatory compliance across operations.

The candidate will collaborate with teams, provide guidance on safety practices, and help ensure safe, compliant, and responsible operations within a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety, or environmental role within chemical, polymer, resin, or related industries preferred.
• Professional knowledge in Safety, Environmental Regulations, and Industrial Hygiene monitoring.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Remain current with regulatory compliance requirements and issues.
• Audit systems within RC14001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Maintain permits and file regulatory reports.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to regulatory agencies.
• Conduct annual company-required and regulatory environmental testing.
• Provide SHE training to employees, suppliers, visitors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Collect and compile site safety and environmental statistics and report results.
• Train supervisors on safety and environmental regulations.
