Job summary

Nestlé in Kentucky is hiring a Safety, Health and Environmental Specialist to support plant-level safety programs, lead training, and drive ISO 45001 and 14001 initiatives. You will assist investigations, maintain records, and coordinate with emergency services while promoting continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, OSHA trainer certification is desirable, and 1–2 years in a manufacturing health and safety setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field required.
• Certifications in health and safety are an added advantage.
• Must comply with Nestlé SHE policies and GMPs.
• Must meet NQMS and ISO standards for safety and health.

Responsibilities

• Support plant-level safety, health, and security processes aligned with Nestlé standards.
• Lead safety trainings to maintain compliance and raise awareness.
• Drive ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 initiatives and sustainability requirements.
• Assist with investigations, action items, and corrective actions.
• Review injury, near-miss, and property damage investigations and communicate findings.
• Maintain documentation and follow-up to minimize risk exposure.
• Coordinate with emergency agencies and support external communications.
• Support workers’ compensation processes and return-to-work programs.
• Lead cost-saving environmental initiatives and waste reduction efforts.
• Develop and conduct safety, health, and environmental training.
