Job summary

Vision Infotech is seeking a SharePoint Business Analyst in Arlington, MA to scope the migration of files from network shares to OneDrive/SharePoint. The contractor will map SharePoint models to meet business and functional needs and will work onsite one day per week.

The engagement is 12 months with potential extension. Candidates should have 5+ years BA experience, 2+ years SharePoint Online in an enterprise, and strong documentation and stakeholder-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online hands-on experience in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years of SharePoint experience in an enterprise setting.
• Experience migrating network shares to SharePoint/OneDrive with documentation, permissions/security, and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to translate business needs into use cases and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear analysis using use cases, inventories, and SharePoint models for integration across units.
• Analyze network shares, security groups, and user permissions.
• Review project artifacts prior to interviewing business units.
• Publish interview topics and questions before each interview.
• Conduct structured interviews with subject matter experts to identify processes and use cases.
• Document interviews, gather feedback, and compile requirements and processes.
• Schedule and conduct requirements reviews and design status meetings.
• Support review of use cases and requirements with the project team and obtain approvals.
• Create and maintain artifacts in a SharePoint site.
• Contribute to development of SharePoint solutions and rationale.
• Propose high level SharePoint security model and coordinate with CISO office.
• Document applications accessing network shares and staff use cases.
• Assist in enterprise architecture for SharePoint file storage.
• Review and update governance documents.
• Brief senior management on findings and recommendations.
• Use Jira to document user stories and tasks.
