Job summary

The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a Shared Services Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the college's new shared administrative services organization. You will ensure units receive consistent, high-quality support while enabling efficient, equitable service delivery across the college.

Reporting to the COO, you will establish common service standards, balance resources, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business administration or related field and a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Experience with higher education, clinical service or research programs, and/or the University of Minnesota.
• Experience leading organizational change and working with diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shared administrative service teams and allocate resources across units.
• Develop and monitor service-level standards and reduce redundancy.
• Lead and mentor managers and leaders to build leadership capabilities.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and MarComm to align roles between shared services and collegiate units.
