Job summary

ONWARD SEARCH is seeking a Solution Architect, CRM & Digital Marketing for an on-site, temporary role based in the New York area. You will manage the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem, architect automation, and collaborate with multiple teams to drive customer engagement initiatives in streaming, subscription, and D2C domains.

You will maintain SFMC health, develop new automations and journeys, lead cross-team technical projects, and design scalable data models in partnership with data

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Solution Architect or senior CRM specialist with SFMC expertise.
• Mastery of Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder, Data Extensions.
• Proficient in AMPScript and SQL; SSJS a plus.
• Experience with SFMC APIs and third-party integrations (CDPs, push, data warehouses).
• Strong planning, prioritization, and cross-team coordination; excellent communication.
• Knowledge of data modeling and segmentation at scale.
• Experience in streaming, subscription, or D2C sectors; SFMC certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SFMC campaigns, automations, and journeys; monitor performance and resolve issues.
• Develop and implement new automations and journeys within SFMC.
• Lead technical project management across teams; triage requests and manage timelines.
• Design scalable SFMC data models with data engineering collaboration.
• Escalation point for SFMC integrations with external systems.
