Job summary

Columbus Water Works in Columbus, GA is seeking a Full Time Skilled Craft worker to install and operate electronic flow monitors, camera systems, and associated equipment in sewer lines. You will collect data, prepare reports and graphs, and support on-call duties as required.

You will use GPS, GIS, and related software, and will be expected to perform duties safely while coordinating with Engineering Staff. A valid driver's license is required and NASSCO certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is the minimum requirement for position.
• Specialized training related to electronic and computer-based equipment is preferred.
• One year experience in a wastewater collection system is required knowledge for the role.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record is required.
• NASSCO Pipeline Assessment Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locates line sections to be videoed and determines setup procedures.
• Sets up cable stands over manholes and threads camera through sewer lines.
• Operates camera, records video, and drafts reports/graphs from data.
• Maintains and repairs camera equipment and attachments as needed.
• Performs on-call duties on a rotating schedule.
