Job summary

PL Associates seeks a Field Inspector to support the Potomac Interceptor Program with periodic field assessments across project sites. The role requires at least 2 years of inspection experience in sewer rehab or related civil infrastructure and a 5-day-per-week field schedule.

Compensation is up to $67/hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Projects involve large-diameter interceptors and water/wastewater infrastructure, with collaboration from engineers, DC Water, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience with sewer rehabilitation, utilities, civil infrastructure, or heavy construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of sewer rehabilitation construction activities.
• Verify contractor compliance with project plans, specifications, permits, and safety requirements.
• Maintain daily inspection reports and project documentation.
• Monitor construction quality, materials, workmanship, and progress.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and DC Water representatives.
• Document deficiencies and track corrective actions.
• Assist with quantity verification and progress reporting.
• Support testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
