Job summary

Pennoni Associates is seeking a Construction Inspector to support field-based inspections in Maryland, including Baltimore and surrounding counties. The role requires inspecting water & sewer lines, utilities, and related projects to ensure adherence to plans and contracts.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of field inspection experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Proficiency with MS Office and mobile devices is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of field-based construction inspection experience.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in the field, including overtime and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Inspect water & sewer lines to ensure compliance with municipal requirements, specifications, and contracts.
• Inspect utility & related construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, and standards.
• Provide documentation of project work activity, equipment utilized, and manpower for projects.
• Measure and record completed work.
• Conduct walk-through visits to inspect completed and in-progress work sites.
• Provide relevant information to Developers, Contractors, and other interested parties when authorized.
• Work construction hours (including overtime) and in inclement weather.
• Use of standard computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word) and devices.
