PL Associates Inc. (PLA) seeks an experienced Project Manager for the Potomac Interceptor Program in Washington, DC. The role requires leading major sewer rehabilitation projects and coordinating with DC Water, consultants, contractors, and regulators.

Hybrid work arrangement with a strong focus on design, permitting, procurement, and construction phase services. Qualified candidates will have 10+ years in engineering and project management, plus PE licensure in MD or VA or the ability to obtain

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering and project management experience.
  • Experience managing large sewer, water, wastewater, or underground utility rehabilitation projects.
  • PE licensure in MD or VA or ability to obtain via reciprocity within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Manager for major sewer rehabilitation projects.
  • Lead projects from planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and project closeout.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
  • Coordinate with DC Water staff, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee design consultants and construction phase services.
  • Review engineering deliverables, schedules, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Lead project meetings and prepare executive-level status reports.
  • Support procurement activities and contract administration.
  • Ensure compliance with DC Water standards and regulatory requirements.
