Job summary

The City of Omaha seeks a Utility Maintenance Technician - 3603 to perform skilled manual work maintaining the City’s sewer collection systems. Tasks include inspection, repair, cleaning and replacement of infrastructure, operating jetting and vacuum equipment, and training junior staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in construction, maintenance, or sewer cleaning.
• High school graduation or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and monitors City sewer collection systems.
• Operates jetting, jet sawing, and jet vacuuming equipment to clean sewers.
• Assists with inspecting, repairing, and replacing infrastructure as needed.
• Performs data entry and maintains records of serviced locations and conditions.
• Provides skilled assistance and may train subordinate staff.
