Job summary

The City of Portland is seeking a Regular Full-Time Environmental Systems Analyst within the Transportation/Environmental Systems Division. The role supports sewer/stormwater inspection, cleaning, repair and utility locates for the Wastewater/Stormwater Collection System.

You will access and analyze key data to inform decisions, prioritize work, and produce status reports. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and responding to weather-related emergencies while guiding projects

Qualifications

Knowledge of wastewater and stormwater collection systems operations and federal/state permits.
Experience exercising independent judgement and initiative within established procedures.
Experience delivering responsive customer service with clear communication to diverse stakeholders.
Experience using multiple database systems and work order/asset management software (Maximo, Infor Hansen) and ticketing tools (Zendesk, TrackIT).

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and distribute work for Sewer/Stormwater Cleaning, Inspection, Utility Locates & Repair.
Review, develop and implement continual improvements.
Perform research, respond and assess service requests.
Review data from work performed to track performance and budget.
Maintain databases, compliance records, and create regular reports on status, actions, trends.
May supervise employees and lead staff on assigned programs, projects, and functions.
Intra-Bureau and Inter-Agency Coordination.
Emergency Response associated with weather events affecting system operations, as well as response to snow/ice events.
Special Projects and Duties as assigned.
