Job summary

City of Memphis is seeking a field technician in the Public Works division to assist in sewer inspections and repairs across City and County areas, including alleys and flood zones. You will load and unload equipment, access manholes, and help operate camera systems in sewer lines.

Responsibilities include supporting the Pollution Control Inspector, performing basic equipment maintenance, and participating in smoke testing and related activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have valid Class B Tennessee CDL with endorsements.
• Must comply with DOT Alcohol and Drug testing rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pollution Control Inspector in sewer line inspections and repair assessments.
• Load/unload equipment, remove manhole covers, and operate sewer inspection camera equipment.
• Perform limited maintenance and setup tasks on electronic equipment and assist in smoke testing.
