Job summary

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a Sewer and Excavation Sales Consultant to help homeowners solve sewer problems while building a high-earning career. This full-time, year-round role guides customers from initial consultation through project completion, with consultative selling and accurate estimates.

You’ll coordinate with field teams, develop referral partnerships, and grow with training and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in outside sales, consultative sales, or business development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to earn trust quickly.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently in the field.
• Excellent organization, follow-up, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residential sewer repair, replacement, and excavation opportunities.
• Meet with homeowners to inspect sewer line concerns and review sewer camera inspection findings.
• Prepare accurate estimates for sewer repairs, sewer replacements, excavation projects, and related services.
• Explain repair and replacement options using a consultative, customer-first approach.
• Build trust through honest recommendations and outstanding customer service.
• Guide customers throughout every stage of the project, from estimate through final completion.
• Coordinate scheduling with office staff and field crews.
• Visit active job sites to monitor project progress, answer customer questions, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Work closely with excavation and plumbing teams to help projects stay on schedule.
• Develop referral relationships with plumbers, contractors, real estate professionals, property managers, and other community partners.
• Identify additional opportunities to help customers with plumbing and underground utility solutions.
• Help grow the business through referrals, repeat customers, and exceptional service.
