Duane Blanton Plumbing, Sewer, Heating & Cooling in Illinois is seeking a Sewer & Drain Manager to lead our residential sewer and drain operations, including service, repairs, and customer care. The role emphasizes strong leadership, process improvement, and safety compliance.

You will oversee a team of technicians and support staff, manage scheduling and budgets, and ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction while staying current with industry practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sewer and drain service or a similar role.
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of sewer and drain diagnostics, repair, and service.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to coach and develop technicians.
• Financial and KPI management experience.
• DOT physical/drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver's license with a solid driving record; chauffeur's license if needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of sewer and drain technicians, sales representatives and support staff.
• Develop and implement training programs to improve technical proficiency and safety.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
• Oversee daily sewer and drain operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
• Manage scheduling and dispatching of technicians.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and resolution of service issues.
• Monitor department performance, revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Manage budgets and implement strategies to improve department performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.
• Stay current on industry practices, technology, and sewer and drain solutions.
