Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff guidance. You will support individuals and small groups, adapt curriculum, and prepare instructional materials while maintaining progress records.

Remote learning support and safety duties are included. Responsibilities include assisting with IEPs, de-escalation support, and collaboration with teachers.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training
• Medication administration training as needed
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and maintain progress and behavior records with licensed staff.
• Prepare materials, administer tests, track attendance, and complete paperwork as needed.
• Support remote learning with tech access, assignments, and course completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
