Job summary

Cherry Creek School District in Colorado is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff. You will assist individuals and small groups with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignment completion.

Prepare instructional materials, monitor progress, and maintain achievement records. In remote learning settings, assist with technology access, curriculum reinforcement, executive functioning, and coursework

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required
• No professional work experience required
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate interpersonal relations and organizational skills
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students
• Ability to modify curriculum and implement behavior modification techniques

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs
• Implement accommodations and track student progress and behavior with licensed staff
• Prepare materials, administer tests, attendance, and related paperwork
• Assist with online learning activities and technology troubleshooting as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
