Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is hiring a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under the direction of licensed staff. Responsibilities include curriculum adaptation, progress monitoring, behavior support, and assisting in both in-person and remote learning settings.

The role involves preparing instructional materials, maintaining records, and ensuring a safe, hygienic environment.

Qualifications

• High school equivalency required; no professional work experience required.
• Ability to adapt curriculum for individual student needs.
• Experience or training in behavior support and de-escalation.
• Capability to work with students in online/remote settings when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and document student progress.
• Prepare materials, assist with tests, attendance, and related tasks.
• Support in online/remote learning scenarios with technology access and coursework completion.
• Maintain achievement records and assist with safety and hygiene in the classroom.
• Monitor student behavior and reinforce positive actions across assignments.
