Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Teacher to develop coursework and deliver instruction for students with affective and severe needs at the school level. The role includes assignments across Autism Classroom, BD, ECD, ILC, SED, and Transition Programming.

The incumbent will implement inclusive instructional practices, collaborate with staff, and participate in district meetings and professional growth opportunities to support student achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Colorado Department of Education teaching license required.
• Colorado Special Education endorsement required.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.
• Ability to align curriculum with state standards and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in varied settings (large group, small group, one-on-one).
• Develop and implement course content and individualized programs.
• Assess and provide feedback on student work; grade assignments.
• Design assessments and use data to adjust instruction.
• Maintain documentation of academic, social, and emotional progress.
