Job summary

The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, adapt instruction to individual needs, monitor progress, and communicate with parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education required.
• Three years of professional teaching experience.
• Colorado teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• Biennial Crisis Prevention Intervention training required.
• Ability to align curriculum and assessments with state standards.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one settings.
• Develop and implement course content, lesson plans, and materials.
• Administer, edit, and grade student assignments and assessments.
• Design assessments to measure understanding and guide instruction.
• Create a classroom environment that maximizes instructional opportunities.
• Monitor student growth and maintain progress documentation.
• Communicate student progress with parents/guardians and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to improve outcomes.
• Participate in meetings, conferences, activities, and professional growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
