DebtBlue, LLC in Richardson, TX is seeking a Settlement Processing Specialist in the Quality Control Department to audit negotiated settlements and ensure accuracy and timeliness.

This in-office, full-time role requires attention to detail, ability to manage multiple negotiations, and communication with creditors to confirm payoff amounts and requirements. The position offers biweekly pay and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.

Responsibilities

DebtBlue is growing - and we're looking for a driven, Settlement Processing Specialist to join our Negotiations department and play a critical role in ensuring settlements are processed accuratley, efficiently, and according to our quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Audit negotiated settlements for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company procedures
• Lock new settlements once the required audit has been completed and the settlement meets processing requirements
• Call creditors or third parties to process settlement payments when required.
• Process payoffs for active settlements when sufficient client funds are available or when a payoff is requested.
• Contact creditors or third parties to confirm payoff amounts and requirements before completing an active settlement payoff.
• Request proof of payment for active settlements when documentation is needed to confirm payment completion.
• Follow up with creditors or third parties as needed to obtain requested proof of payment.
• Manage multiple negotiations while consistently meeting performance and productivity goals.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• 1+ year of experience in a transactional or financial operations role (required)
• Experience handling time-sensitive financial tasks such as processing payments, reviewing transactions, or managing account information
• Familiarity working alongside creditors, lenders, financial institutions, or vendors

Hourly Pay - $18/hour, paid Biweekly
