Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to support the firm’s product liability and mass torts resolution team. The role focuses on managing all phases of settlement for high-volume matters and coordinating with attorneys, clients, and vendors to ensure timely, accurate settlement completion.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting large-scale settlements, familiarity with mass tort claims administration, and proficiency with case management tools and AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
• 3+ years as a litigation paralegal with settlement/claims admin exp.
• Experience with mass tort/MDL or high-volume settlements.
• Extensive experience supporting large settlements and claims administration.
• Familiarity with medical records, lien resolution, and Medicare reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage settlement-related documents and databases.
• Assist intake, review, evaluation, and organization of claims data.
• Coordinate settlement workflows and documentation with attorneys.
• Draft correspondence and reports; conduct legal research as needed.
• Assist with settlement disbursement procedures and payments.
• Maintain accurate case information in databases and CMS.
• Draft and review court documents for filing in various jurisdictions.
• Communicate with opposing counsel and clients.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and client guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
