Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg seeks an experienced litigation settlement paralegal for its mass torts and product liability settlement team in Boston. You will support attorneys, manage all phases of settlement workflows, and liaise with clients, administrators, and vendors to ensure accurate, efficient settlement completion.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of paralegal experience in mass torts or MDL, familiarity with medical records and Medicare reporting, and strong Excel/word skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
• 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal with settlement/claims administration.
• Experience with mass tort or multidistrict litigation (MDL) or high-volume settlement administration.
• Experience supporting large-scale settlements involving thousands of claimants.
• Familiarity with medical records, lien resolution, and Medicare reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and manage settlement-related documents and data.
• Assist intake, review, evaluation, and organization of claims information.
• Collaborate with attorneys and team to ensure timely settlement workflows.
• Conduct settlement-related legal research and draft correspondence.
• Perform FDA and MMSEA reporting as required by guidelines.
• Provide updates on case statistics and settlement status.
• Coordinate payment requests and settlement disbursement procedures.
• Maintain accurate case information and update databases.
