Job summary

Elmm Law Group in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Settlement Disbursement Specialist to own the settlement and disbursement phase of injury cases. You will manage files from agreement through final disbursement, coordinate lien settlements, and communicate with clients throughout.

The role requires 3+ years of personal injury settlement experience, familiarity with lien negotiation and trust accounts, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of personal injury settlement/disbursement experience.
  • Familiarity with lien negotiation, medical billing, settlement disbursement, and trust accounts.
  • Experience with legal case management software (CasePeer or similar preferred).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential client, firm, and financial information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Own the settlement and disbursement phase of injury cases from agreement through final disbursement and closure.
  • Coordinate insurance carrier settlement paperwork and follow-up.
  • Review and track releases.
  • Monitor funding status and ensure timely payment.
  • Communicate with clients throughout settlement and disbursement.
  • Prepare settlement statements and disbursement packages.
  • Coordinate trust account disbursements.
  • Issue checks to clients, medical providers, lienholders, and referral partners.
  • Track and resolve medical liens; negotiate lien reductions when appropriate.
  • Work with bookkeeping/accounting on trust account compliance and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate notes, deadlines, and workflow in CASEPeer.
  • Ensure clean and timely file closures.
  • Identify bottlenecks and improve settlement systems/processes.

Compensation:

$60,000 - $80,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

You will own the settlement and disbursement phase of our injury cases, including:

  • Managing settlement files from agreement through final disbursement and closure
