Job summary

Insight is seeking a Services Technician - W2 for our fully onsite Hanover Park, IL office. You will configure, modify, repair and test IT devices, including hardware and software configurations, to support our clients’ needs.

This role offers hands-on hardware work, image deployment, and problem resolution, with opportunities for growth within a Fortune 500 Solutions Integrator focused on cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity, and analytics.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS or 2 years related experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and imaging software.
• Hardware troubleshooting experience with laptops/desktops for Tier One vendors.

Responsibilities

• Configure hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and servers.
• Deploy images and customize software per work instructions.
• Identify and troubleshoot system hardware problems and perform QC checks.

Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm CST

Pay: $23.50/hr

As a Services Technician - W2 with Insight, you will perform configuration, modification, repair, testing and/or servicing on IT devices, including, but not limited to: hardware and peripherals and software configuration.

We are looking for a Services Technician - W2 with:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.PC’s,messagingand server software applications experiencerequired. LAN/WAN, and ability to automate tasks using basic scriptingtechniquesa plus.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, vendor diagnostics, imaging software such as Ghost, MDT, or SCCM.
• Minimum of one year hardware troubleshooting experience, which needs to include laptops anddesktopfor Tier One vendors.
• Should also be familiar with vendor web sitesin order tofind hardware updates, driver updates, and engineering changes) as well as on multiple Tier One products (IBM, Compaq, HP, Toshiba).
