Job summary

Insight is seeking a Services Technician - W2 to perform configuration, modification, repair, testing and servicing on IT devices, including hardware, peripherals, and software configuration, onsite in Fort Worth, TX.

You will deploy images, troubleshoot hardware, and participate in Quality Control inspections, with opportunities for advancement and benefits such as medical plans and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting incl. laptops/desktops.
• Ability to locate hardware updates and driver updates.

Responsibilities

• Configure hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers.
• Deploy images and customize software based on provided work instructions.
• Identify and troubleshoot system hardware problems.
• Perform Quality Control inspections.

As a Services Technician - W2 with Insight, you will perform configuration, modification, repair, testing and/or servicing on IT devices, including, but not limited to: hardware and peripherals and software configuration.

We are looking for a Services Technician - W2 with:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.PC’s,messagingand server software applications experiencerequired. LAN/WAN, and ability to automate tasks using basic scriptingtechniquesa plus.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, vendor diagnostics, imaging software such as Ghost, MDT, or SCCM.
• Minimum of one year hardware troubleshooting experience, which needs to include laptops anddesktopfor Tier One vendors.
• Should also be familiar with vendor web sitesin order tofind hardware updates, driver updates, and engineering changes) as well as on multiple Tier One products (IBM, Compaq, HP, Toshiba).
