Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Software Asset ServiceNow Analyst to support enterprise SAM, CMDB, and IT Operations for a large state and local government customer. You will ensure software assets, licenses, entitlements, and configuration records are accurately tracked and governed throughout their lifecycle.

You will partner with IT Operations, Procurement, Cybersecurity, Engineering, and Service Management teams to drive governance, audit readiness, and continual improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 2+ years of related experience, or four years military/relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with SAM, CMDB, ITAM, ITSM or Change Management.
• Experience using ServiceNow, asset management tools, and related IT operations systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive creation, maturity, and maintenance of Software Asset and Configuration Items in CMDB.
• Maintain software assets, entitlements, and configuration records in ServiceNow and related systems.
• Monitor inventory, license utilization, and entitlement data for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform data reconciliation across tools, CMDB, and licensing sources.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to support governance and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business units to improve data quality.
