Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information systems, business, or related field.
• 3-5+ years in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM).
• Hands-on experience with SAM/ITSM tooling, ServiceNow SAM preferred.
• Knowledge of major software licensing models and CMDB/ITSM processes.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage software asset inventory, entitlements, usage data and compliance via ServiceNow SAM Professional.
• Configure and maintain the ServiceNow SAM platform, models, entitlements, and normalization.
• Implement changes, upgrades, and dashboards; automate SAM workflows where possible.
• Maintain data integrity across CMDB and asset repositories; reconcile data from discovery tools, contracts, invoices, and vendor portals.
• Track usage vs entitlements; perform reconciliation and license risk reporting.
• Support vendor audits and prepare licensing documentation.
• Analyze usage and licensing data to optimize costs and improve utilization.
• Support software request, approval, and fulfillment workflows.
• Integrate SAM with discovery and endpoint sources (ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, Intune).
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Security to report compliance posture and savings.
• Assist defining SAM governance and continuous improvement; provide executive insights via dashboards.
• Partner with Procurement and Legal on contracts and renewals; support negotiations.
