Job summary

New River Systems in Chantilly, VA (on-site) seeks a Senior ServiceNow Developer to build the DIA’s Security Incident Response and Vulnerability Response MVPs. You will configure SIR for approved incident types with standard playbooks, then deliver the VR MVP with ACAS/Tenable ingestion and automated remediation task generation.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
• Experience with ServiceNow in security modules (SIR/VR).

Responsibilities

• Configure Security Incident Response categorization, severity, assignment and notification for the approved incident types.
• Build initial ACAS/Tenable vulnerability data visibility in the platform.
• Deliver the Vulnerability Response MVP: ingestion, risk-based prioritization, automated remediation-task generation.
• Implement CMDB linkage so incidents and vulnerabilities resolve against real configuration items.
• Implement ITSM linkage so remediation is tracked as change and task records.
• Build approved automation from the security data source into SIR.
• Support training, cutover, stabilization and operations handoff.

Clearance: Active Top Secret Required. TS/ SCI Preferred

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to build DIA’s Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response (VR) MVP capability. You will configure SIR for the approved incident types with standard playbooks, then deliver the VR MVP – ACAS/Tenable ingestion, risk-based prioritization and automated remediation-task generation – together with CMDB and ITSM linkage.

This is hands‑on scoped‑application and integration development supporting analysts who currently triage by email and spreadsheet.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong ServiceNow development experience with Security Incident Response and/or Vulnerability Response applications.
• Experience integrating ACAS/Tenable or comparable vulnerability‑scanning feeds.
• Experience building CMDB and ITSM linkage for security workflows.
• Familiarity with SecOps orchestration and automation patterns.

Minimum Experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Success in this role is measured by your ability to deliver a working SIR and VR MVP on schedule, with integrations that reliably tie incidents and vulnerabilities to real assets and tracked remediation work.

• High School Diploma/ GED – 12 years
• Associates Degree – 10 years
• Bachelors Degree – 8 years
• Masters Degree – 6 years
• PhD – 4 years

Required Certifications

• DoD 8570 IAT II (e.g., Security+)
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Desired Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Security Incident Response
• CySA+

Salary Range: $140-230k. The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position
