System One is seeking a hands-on ServiceNow Discovery Developer to design, customize, and support discovery patterns and CMDB data ingestion for a large enterprise. The role emphasizes deep discovery capabilities, data quality, and cross-team collaboration across infrastructure, network, server, cloud, and asset management functions.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot complex Discovery and CMDB issues, implement patterns and connectors, and help maintain stability of the Discovery/CMDB

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize ServiceNow Discovery Patterns.
• Configure and support Service Graph Connectors and other CMDB data-ingestion mechanisms.
• Discover and onboard on-premises infrastructure, servers, network technologies, cloud resources, hardware, and software.
• Troubleshoot Discovery failures, incomplete identification, pattern errors, connector issues, credential issues, and connectivity problems.
• Investigate duplicate, inaccurate, or incomplete Configuration Items.
• Validate discovered Configuration Items and CI relationships.
• Improve CMDB data quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Support hardware and software asset data and related IT Asset Management processes.
• Customize ServiceNow functionality based on enterprise requirements.
• Work closely with infrastructure, network, server, cloud, asset management, and operations teams.
• Support the operational stability of the ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB environment.
• Use AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to support development and troubleshooting.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on ServiceNow Discovery Developer to develop, customize, and support ServiceNow Discovery capabilities within a large enterprise environment.

This role will focus on discovering infrastructure, servers, network technologies, cloud resources, and related enterprise assets while ensuring accurate configuration data is populated into the ServiceNow CMDB.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience developing and customizing ServiceNow Discovery Patterns, configuring Service Graph Connectors, supporting multiple CMDB data-ingestion methods, and troubleshooting complex Discovery and CMDB data-quality issues.

This is not a basic out-of-the-box ServiceNow configuration role. The successful candidate should be comfortable customizing Discovery capabilities, troubleshooting identification and connectivity issues, and working across infrastructure, network, server, cloud, asset management, and operations teams.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on ServiceNow Discovery experience.

• Experience developing and customizing Discovery Patterns.

• Strong ServiceNow CMDB experience.

• Strong understanding of Configuration Items, CI relationships, and CMDB data quality.

• Experience with Service Graph Connectors or comparable CMDB data-ingestion methods.

• Experience onboarding infrastructure and technology data into CMDB through multiple ingestion approaches.

• Strong understanding of server, network, hardware, software, and infrastructure discovery.

• Ability to troubleshoot Discovery failures, pattern errors, identification issues, credential/connectivity issues, and connector failures.

• Experience resolving duplicate or inaccurate Configuration Items.

• Ability to customize ServiceNow functionality beyond standard out-of-the-box capabilities.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively across infrastructure, network, server, cloud, asset management, and operations teams.
