Job summary

Seamless Migration is seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to administer and optimize the ServiceNow ITAM suite with emphasis on SAM Pro and HAM. You will manage asset lifecycles, licensing, and compliance, coordinating with stakeholders and data sources to maintain data integrity.

Based in Tampa, FL, the role requires DoD 8570 IAT II-level credentials and ServiceNow certification. A Top Secret clearance is required to start.

Overview

• Administer, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow IT Asset Management suite, with primary emphasis on Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

• Manage the full IT asset lifecycle for hardware and software - request, procurement, receiving, deployment, transfer, maintenance, and retirement/disposal

• Maintain software license entitlements, publisher packs, and license models; perform periodic reconciliation to determine compliance position and identify true-up, reclaim, and cost-savings opportunities

• Configure and maintain software discovery models, normalization, and content library updates to ensure accurate software recognition

• Support software license compliance reviews and audits, and prepare reporting on effective license position for stakeholders

• Reconcile discovered software against purchased entitlements and remediate discrepancies in coordination with asset owners

• Maintain hardware asset records, stockrooms, transfer orders, and physical/logical asset audits

• Maintain the relationships between assets, configuration items (CIs), contracts, and the CMDB to ensure data integrity across the platform

• Manage contract, procurement, warranty, lease, and maintenance agreement records within the platform

• Support integrations with ServiceNow Discovery and third-party inventory/data sources (e.g., SCCM/MECM) for asset and software data ingestion

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics for asset positions, license compliance, and lifecycle status

• Apply data governance and normalization best practices to keep asset and license data clean, complete, and reliable

• Support ServiceNow license management and governance activities (e.g., user, app, API usage, custom tables)

• Create and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions for ITAM/SAM processes

Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience administering, configuring, and maintaining the ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) suite in an enterprise environment, with primary emphasis on Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

• Proven ability to manage the full IT asset lifecycle for both hardware and software request, procurement, receiving, deployment, transfer, maintenance, and retirement/disposal including maintenance of asset records, stockrooms, and transfer orders

• Working knowledge of software license management, including entitlements, publisher packs, and license models, with the ability to perform periodic reconciliation of discovered software against purchased entitlements to determine effective license position and identify compliance, true-up, and cost-savings opportunities

• Experience configuring software discovery models, normalization, and content library updates, and supporting integrations with ServiceNow Discovery and third-party inventory sources (e.g., SCCM/MECM) to ensure accurate asset and software data

• Understanding of the relationships among assets, configuration items (CIs), contracts, and the CMDB, with the ability to apply data governance and normalization practices that maintain data integrity across the platform

• Ability to develop dashboards, reports, and metrics for asset and license positions, and to author documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions for ITAM/SAM processes

Nice to Have

• Must be DoW8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451 - Systems Administrator- Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26

• 3+ years of ServiceNow experience with a focus on IT Asset Management (HAM and/or SAM), including hands-on configuration and administration

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification; ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM) and/or Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM) desired but not required

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, including license reconciliation, publisher packs, and content/normalization services

• Working knowledge of software licensing models and major publishers (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, VMware, Adobe, IBM), including subscription, per-user, and per-core models

• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and/or third-party inventory tools (e.g., SCCM/MECM) as sources for asset data

• Familiarity with the CMDB and Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and the relationship between assets and configuration items
