Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a ServiceNow Developer II in Austin to design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions with a focus on ITSM, ITOM, IRM, GRC, and SIR. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, admins, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure applications.

Responsibilities include building and configuring workflows, business rules, and integrations via REST/SOAP APIs, participating in upgrades, and promoting best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 8 years' experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, IRM, GRC, SIR, and Service Catalog.
• Experience developing solutions using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and Discovery.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise applications using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with MID Server administration and integration troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and working within Scrum frameworks.
• Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF), platform upgrades, patching, and release management.
• ServiceNow CAD certification preferred.
• Additional ServiceNow certifications such as CIS in ITSM, ITOM, IRM, Risk Management, or SIR are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow solutions in accordance with established development standards and architecture guidelines.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, workflows, forms, catalogs, and user interfaces to meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Flow Designer workflows, and other platform components.
• Create and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications using Integration Hub, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and MID Servers.
• Participate in platform upgrades, patch implementations, release management activities, and regression testing efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform, integration, and production support issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Contribute to CMDB governance efforts, data quality initiatives, and CSDM adoption.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation procedures, and support documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and promote development best practices, platform standards, and operational excellence.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance platform performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation and provide support for critical incidents as required.
