Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant – ServiceNow with a strong focus on CMDB, Discovery, and Integrations in a dynamic US-based role.

The candidate will own CMDB architecture, ServiceNow Discovery configuration, and end-to-end integrations, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade solutions while contributing to ITSM and related modules as needed. This position emphasizes hands-on development and architecture design.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and implementation.
• CMDB (mandatory)
• Discovery (mandatory)
• Integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Server, APIs) (mandatory)
• Good CMDB data modeling, CI relationships, governance
• Experience with Integration Hub and API-based integrations
• ITSM and other modules knowledge
• Strong scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide APIs)
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS – Discovery/CMDB preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of CMDB architecture with governance and scalability.
• Own ServiceNow Discovery configuration, troubleshooting, and improvement.
• Design and implement integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and Integration Hub.
• Define and maintain CMDB data models, CIs, relationships, and reconciliation rules.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into CMDB/integration solutions.
• Perform CMDB health checks, audits, and data normalization for quality/compliance.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, APIs).
• Troubleshoot issues related to Discovery, integrations, and CMDB data inconsistencies.
• Provide technical expertise on CMDB strategy and integration architecture in client discussions.
• Support ITSM and other modules (Service Portal, HAM) as needed.
• Work in Agile environments with sprint planning and backlog grooming.
