Job summary

Saia LTL Freight is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to coordinate repairs for shop and field service personnel, ensuring timely work orders and efficient service delivery. You will clarify service needs with customers, prepare accurate estimates, and monitor progress to minimize downtime.

Proficiency in transportation knowledge, diagnostic software, and MS Office is required, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of maintenance, service writing, or related experience.
Knowledge of transportation and diagnostic software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Schedules repairs and coordinates work for shop and field service personnel.
Facilitates timely processing of work orders and maintains efficient workflow.
Communicates with customers to clarify service needs and provides accurate estimates.
Tracks and monitors service progress to ensure efficiency.
Prepares and maintains detailed records of service activities.
Monitors driver vehicle inspection reports and schedules necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
Coordinates with internal shops and outside vendors to schedule, approve, and expedite repairs.
Runs daily and weekly preventative maintenance reports, scheduling routine maintenance to maintain equipment readiness.
