Job summary

Mangino Buick & GMC is seeking a personable Service Writer to be the face of the Service Department. You’ll greet customers, collect vehicle data, schedule appointments, and communicate with technicians to ensure quality service.

The role emphasizes guiding customers through maintenance recommendations and maintaining strong customer relationships. Ideal candidates have dealership experience, CDK familiarity, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Customer Service experience required.
• Dealership experience required.
• CDK experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Service Drive Lane for smooth flow between customers and technicians.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service.
• Enhance customer experience by going above and beyond to ensure satisfaction.
• Support fast-paced, changing environment with effective decision making.
• Assist customers with inquiries and ensure proper handling of requests.
• Distribute work among service technicians to optimize daily time usage.
• Use technician input to explain vehicle issues, warranties, services and repairs.
• Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index at or above company standards.
• Assist in diagnosing vehicle problems and ordering parts/tools as needed.
• Oversee warranty claims administration and guide staff accordingly.
