Job summary

Hunter Truck is seeking a Service Writer for our South Royalton, VT location. The role involves writing up repair orders and estimating repair costs while greeting customers and coordinating with technicians to ensure timely service.

The position is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule, $23.00–$34.00 per hour based on experience, and a path for growth within a long‑standing, family‑owned dealer group.

Qualifications

• Must read and comprehend instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; compute rates and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, sell needed work, write repair orders, estimate repair costs.
• Answer service department calls and assist customers with inquiries.
• Explain vehicle issues and recommended procedures to customers.
• Inform customers of expected repair time and delays.
• Obtain authorization for work beyond the original scope.
