Job summary

Yellowhouse Machinery in Abilene, TX invites applications for a Service Manager Assistant role at our Abilene location. You will support service operations, open and track work orders, and help maintain accurate billing and records.

The role includes administering warranty claims and providing guidance on warranty procedures to technicians and parts staff. The position requires 2+ years in service department operations, basic accounting knowledge, and proficiency with Deere Warranty and dealer

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in Service Department operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
• Knowledge of office procedures.
• Familiarity with Deere Warranty system and dealer software.

Responsibilities

• Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager and maintain control until closed and invoiced.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and on-time billing, reports, and records for the service department.
• Administer warranty claim processes to maximize efficiency and ROI.
• Provide consultation on warranty procedures to staff as needed.
• Field customer inquiries to the Service Department and promote customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Yellowhouse Machinery is currently accepting applications for Service Manager at our Abilene TX location. Our applicants must exhibit strong work ethic and be able to provide supporting references. Must be able to assist the Service Manager in maintaining accurate and on-time billing, reports and records relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership.

Reports To: Service Manager

Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced.

Promotes and adheres to company policy at all times with emphasis on a team mentality.

Administers the warranty claim process to maximize the efficiency and return on warranty claims.

Understands warranty regulations and is able to provide consultation to Service Managers, Techs, and Parts Department Personnel on the proper way to proceed with a warranty situation.

Processes customer pay invoices, warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-up.

Communicates to departmental management about warranty status on a regular basis.

Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.

Promotes customer service at all times throughout the organization.

Executes other duties as assigned by management
