Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Service Technician to join our team in Pembroke, MA. This position is responsible for measuring, troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and installing residential windows and doors, as well as performing service work related to siding.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in exterior home remodeling, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs professionally and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately measure residential windows and doors for replacement and installation.
• Perform service and repair work on windows, including locks, balances, sashes, screens, glass, hardware, weatherstripping, and other components.
• Diagnose and repair door issues, including entry doors, patio doors, locks, hardware, alignment, weatherstripping, and operational problems.
• Troubleshoot and perform siding repairs, including replacing damaged panels and addressing installation-related issues.
• Install replacement windows when needed.
• Perform window and door adjustments to ensure proper operation, fit, and sealing.
• Identify the cause of leaks, drafts, water infiltration, and other installation or product-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding service issues and repairs.
• Take detailed photos and document all service work performed.
• Maintain an organized company vehicle, tools, parts, and service materials.
• Follow company procedures and all applicable safety requirements.
• Work closely with the Service, Production, and Installation teams to resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Experience measuring replacement windows is required.
• Experience servicing and repairing residential windows and doors is required.
• Window installation experience is required.
• Working knowledge of vinyl siding installation and repair is required.
• Ability to accurately diagnose installation and product-related issues.
• Strong knowledge of proper window and door installation techniques, flashing, insulation, caulking, and weatherproofing.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other installation/service equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to safely lift and carry windows, doors, tools, and materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Several years of experience in window and door installation or service.
• Experience working for a window, door, siding, or exterior remodeling company.
• General carpentry and exterior remodeling experience.
• Familiarity with multiple window and door manufacturers and product lines.
