Service Technician (Utility Truck Mechanic)

Join us as a Service Technician (Utility Truck Mechanic) at Custom Truck One Source.

This role is based at our new location in Portland, Oregon, where we design, assemble, sell, rent, and service trucks, cranes, and heavy equipment for major utility, telecom, construction, forestry, oil, and rail companies.

Job Details

• Location: Portland, OR
• Type: Full-time, Day shift, Monday to Friday with overtime as needed
• Experience with truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment, aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, construction, mining, farm equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair various utility trucks and equipment
• Perform maintenance on medium/heavy-duty trucks, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Maintain accurate service records and submit repair orders
• Adhere to safety practices and attend safety meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with diesel, medium/heavy trucks, or related equipment
• Basic mechanical skills, knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems
• Computer skills for documentation
• Valid driver’s license and own tools

Preferred Skills

• Vocational or military mechanic training
• 3+ years of related maintenance and repair experience
