Job summary

Don Hewlett Chevrolet Buick in GEORGETOWN, TX is seeking an experienced Trim & Electrical Technician to join our team. You will diagnose and repair electrical concerns, remove and reinstall interior trim, and service infotainment, HVAC, and safety components on GM vehicles.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, the ability to read wiring diagrams, and familiarity with GM diagnostic tools such as GDS2 and MDI. GM dealership experience is preferred, and ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive trim and electrical technician.
• GM/Chevrolet dealership experience preferred.
• Strong electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use GM service information.
• Experience with GM diagnostic equipment (GDS2, MDI) is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical concerns on Chevrolet and GM vehicles.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting using factory diagnostic equipment and service information.
• Repair and replace wiring harnesses, modules, sensors, and electrical components.
• Remove and reinstall dashboards, door panels, headliners, seats, consoles, and other interior trim components without damage.
• Perform repairs related to infotainment systems, HVAC components, airbags (SIR), power accessories, and other electrical features.
• Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs according to GM standards.
• Accurately document repairs and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work closely with service advisors and other technicians to ensure quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
