Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair TECNAU equipment such as cutters, stackers, unwinders, and perforators.
• Service MB equipment including folders, inserters, and feeders.
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize production disruptions.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, servo motor systems, and control panels.
• Maintain accurate service records and maintenance schedules using TRACTIAN software.

Express Employment Professionals of Rancho Cucamonga is seeking an experienced Service Technician to support high-speed production and finishing equipment. This is a hands-on, mid-level technical position responsible for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and equipment repair.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with print, direct mail, bindery, fulfillment, or high-speed inserting equipment and a strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair TECNAU equipment, including cutters, stackers, unwinders, and perforators.
• Service and repair MB equipment, including folders, inserters, and feeders.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Respond quickly to equipment failures and escalated service issues to minimize production disruptions.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, servo motor systems, and control panels.
• Work closely with production teams to identify recurring equipment problems and improve performance.
• Maintain accurate service records, preventative maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory using TRACTIAN software.
• Communicate with vendors and internal support teams regarding complex repairs and warranty issues.
• Assist with equipment software and firmware updates.
• Partner with Senior Service Technicians on advanced troubleshooting and repairs.
• Follow and promote all equipment and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Previous experience in the print, direct mail, bindery, and/or fulfillment industry working with high-speed inserters.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, servo motors, and control panel diagnostics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Experience using standard and specialized maintenance tools.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong math skills.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and technical teams.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach while servicing equipment.
• Comfortable performing repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Must be comfortable working around moving machinery, paper dust, cleaners, and solvents.
• Ability to work in small or confined areas when servicing equipment.
• Must be available to work extended hours when necessary to complete equipment repairs.
