IWCO Direct - INSTANT WEB, LLC is seeking an Equipment Technician to perform set-ups, maintenance, adjustments and troubleshooting on lettershop production equipment. You will ensure deadlines, quality and quantity goals are met in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year of mechanical troubleshooting experience, and the ability to read and follow job set-up instructions. The shift is 3pm–11pm and work is on-site.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of mechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience in print or direct mail equipment preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred.
  • Safety training or participation in a safety team is a plus.

Overall Summary:

The Equipment Technician performs set-ups, and maintain s , adjust s and troubleshoot s lettershop production equipment . They ensur e that deadlines and quality and quantity goals are met.

Primary Duties/ Responsibilities:

Adhere to policies, procedures and practices .

Identif y and report unsafe conditions including injuries and property damage .

Use safe work techniques ; including lifting and confined space entry ; use proper PPE .

Conduct routine preventative maintenance and safety checks ; troubleshoot basic mechanical breakdowns.

Use hand tools effectively to maintain , set-up and repair equipment ; adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.

Identify issues and perform repairs quickly ; elevate as necessary .

Set up, maintain , adjust and t roubleshoot all production equipment .

Document all mechanical activities .

Assist in training new mechanics when required on set-up and operation of equipment .

Observe all company rules, regulations, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards .

Maintain a safe and clean work area throughout the shift.

Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned.

Ability to read and write English and understand oral and written communications.

P roblem-solv ing and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to read, understand and execute job set-up instructions.

Basic computer proficiency preferred.

Education and Experience :

High School Diploma or GED required .

1+ year of previous experience with mechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment .

Previous experience in print or direct mail equipment preferred.

Lean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred.

Previous participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday; 3pm-11pm.

Ability to work overtime when needed .

Standard climate-controlled production environment; exposure to loud noise (PPE is provided) .

Ability to lift, carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds .

Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for up to 8 hours .

Upper extremity motion requirements: fine motor movements, pushing/pulling with arms, grasping and pinching .

Lower extremity motion requirements: reaching .
