Summary
Responsible for ongoing maintenance of contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution equipment.

Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Level I Technician requires one to three years of field experience servicing generator systems, including residential applications, capable of preventive maintenance, operational understanding of automatic transfer switches, and performing load banks.
• High School diploma or GED, related military experience, or equivalent field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
• Ability to safely perform physical labor outdoors, including lifting and installing heavy objects, and working in extreme temperatures.
• Must observe all safety standards.

Essential Functions

• Daily travel with independent work.
• Provide 24/7 on-call services as needed.
• Maintain and safeguard equipment and tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance and customer interface tasks.
• Use electronic testing equipment and manage subcontractors.
• Maintain company vehicle and complete all required paperwork.
• Attend training and own personal tools.

Physical Demands

• Moderately physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Standing, walking, climbing, and working in PPE required.
• Visual and auditory abilities necessary for the job.
• Long hours and travel required.

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoor work in varied weather conditions.
• Up to 25% travel out of market/state.
• Exposure to environmental hazards and chemicals.
