Job summary

Griffis Residential is seeking a Service Technician to maintain apartment communities and ensure resident satisfaction. You will perform technical upkeep across buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, under the Service Manager's guidance.

Role requires professionalism, attention to detail and a passion for service. Responsibilities include repairs, quick responses to requests, preventive maintenance, and adherence to safety standards. Training provided for license requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or related field.
• CPO license and EPA Certification preferred; required within 6 months.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; English proficient; Spanish a plus.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to prepare apartments for move-in, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and appliances.
• Respond quickly to service requests and emergencies, with a 30-minute max response time.
• Support preventive maintenance schedules and inspections.
• Follow OSHA, EPA and local safety codes and regulations.
• Maintain pool/spa maintenance records and chemical balance for safety.
• Conduct community inspections and report repairs to keep the property clean and presentable.
• Participate in litter pickup, snow/ice removal and other maintenance tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with Service and Community Managers to meet financial goals and manage inventory.
