Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Service Technician to support on-site security system service across the Kansas City area. You will work with existing customers to troubleshoot CCTV, access control, and related low-voltage systems at various sites, while maintaining professional customer service in person and over the phone.

The role requires hands-on use of power/hand tools, basic Microsoft Office skills, and proficiency with documenting work via mobile devices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in CCTV, access control, or residential low voltage.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Comfortable with power and hand tools.
• Strong customer service skills over phone and in person.
• Hands-on installation, repair, troubleshooting or setup of security devices.

Responsibilities

A customer of Insight Global is looking for a Service Technician to support their customer base on site in Kansas City. These individuals will be responsible for working with the existing customer base in the local area to service security systems at various locations in the local territory. They will utilize their customer service skills to work directly with the troubling shooting of current systems and getting them cell phone access to the company application for their security system.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience working with CCTV, Card Access, or residential low voltage.Current valid State Driver's LicenseFamiliar with power and hand tools (drills, wire cutters, etc.)Customer service skills and professionalism over the phone and in personAbility to work under general supervision and independently at multiple customer sites daily.Comfortable with computers, basic Microsoft Suite, Smartphone devices (mostly for documentation and scheduling).Hands-on experience with installation, repair, troubleshooting or set-up of devices (security cameras, alarm systems, Network/WiFi, wires or cabling, phones, tablets, ATMs, printers, etc.)Some technical school trainingPrior experience with providing services to electrical systemsPrior sales experience (will have the opportunity to earn commission in this role for upselling)Sheriff CardPrior work experience at ADT
